Willow Elementary School in Agoura Hills has a couple of new wall murals to show off.
During the recent months, Willow principal Tiffanee Reynolds collaborated with former student Rachel Jacobs to create wall artwork that reflects the school’s core values and mission for the students.
“The murals highlight the school’s commitment to excellence and community and are especially meaningful because they were painted by a Willow alumna,”
Las Virgenes school district spokesperson Cristina Johnson told The Acorn.
Jacobs, a 23-year-old local artist, grew up attending Willow Elementary from kindergarten through fifth grade.
She graduated from San Diego State University in 2023 with a degree in graphic design and has been working as a freelance designer, illustrator and portrait painter.
Recently, she started working in television as an art production assistant for Netflix and 20th Century Studios.
Still living in Agoura Hills, Jacobs says she is excited to reconnect with her hometown through her artwork and is looking forward to what the future holds.
